The VS216MG-G Tungsten Vial Shield with Magnetic Lid is designed for maximum safety and ease of use when shielding 15R vials in nuclear medicine and radiopharmaceutical workflows. With internal dimensions of ø27×61 mm, this model is engineered for use with standard eluate vials requiring enhanced gamma protection.
Its body is constructed from 6 mm thick tungsten, offering a higher shielding capacity than the standard 4 mm models—ideal for handling higher-activity isotopes or where added protection is required. A 10 mm lead glass viewing window is positioned on the front of the shield, providing clear visual access to vial contents and labeling.
The magnetic lid ensures smooth, one-handed operation, allowing quick access while keeping the vial shielded when not in use. The green anodized aluminum housing is corrosion-resistant, easy to disinfect, and color-coded for volume or isotope differentiation in clinical environments.
