The LC310-412-100SD lead castle is designed with a sliding front door to eliminate the need to lift samples vertically into the measurement chamber. Samples slide in horizontally at a comfortable working height. The door mechanism operates smoothly on precision guides, requiring minimal force even after extended service.

Product description
The inner chamber includes a 2 mm copper liner surrounding the measurement space. This graded shielding approach with lead on the exterior and copper on the interior, suppresses fluorescent X-rays that lead produces when absorbing gamma radiation. These lead X-rays can interfere with spectral analysis in the low-energy region. The copper absorbs these X-rays before they reach your detector, delivering cleaner spectra without artificial peaks.
With 100 mm of lead shielding and inner dimensions of 302 x 403 mm (diameter x height), this detector shield accommodates standard HPGe detector configurations while maintaining excellent background suppression.
