Lead Shielded Panels with Pipe Passthrough
Lead shielded walls with integrated pass-throughs for pipes, conduits, and ducts. Shielded collars maintain radiation protection around penetrations. Custom engineered to your pipe locations and diameters. Ideal for retrofit installations where existing services cannot be rerouted.

Product description
Pipes, conduits, and ducts running through a space do not have to prevent you from installing radiation shielding. Nuclear Shields designs and manufactures lead shielded walls with integrated penetrations that maintain shielding integrity while allowing services to pass through.
Shielded openings
Each penetration is more than a cutout in the lead panel. We engineer shielded collars or sleeves that maintain the required lead thickness right up to the pipe surface. The collar design eliminates radiation streaming paths around the pipe, providing the same protection as the surrounding wall.
Multiple pass-throughs, any configuration
Your wall may need penetrations at different heights, angles, and diameters. We accommodate multiple pass-throughs within a single wall section, engineering each one based on its specific location and the pipe diameter. Overlapping collar designs handle pipes that enter at angles rather than perpendicular to the wall.
Retrofit without rerouting services
Installing shielding in an operational facility often means working around infrastructure that cannot be moved. Our penetration solutions let you add shielding walls without the cost and disruption of rerouting pipes, conduits, or ventilation ducts. Send us drawings showing the service locations, and we design the wall to fit around them.
Suitable for various services
Beyond pipes, we design penetrations for cable trays, ventilation ducts, instrument lines, and other services that need to pass through shielded walls. Each penetration type gets the appropriate collar design for its geometry and shielding requirements.
