Formulated without lead for food industry compliance
Our food inspection curtains use alternative high-Z materials—tungsten, bismuth, tin, and antimony compounds—to achieve radiation attenuation equivalent to traditional leaded materials. These formulations comply with RoHS directives limiting hazardous substances and eliminate any risk of lead contamination in food products or packaging.
For applications involving direct food contact, we supply curtains meeting FDA 21 CFR Part 177 requirements for polymers in repeated-use food contact applications. European food manufacturers can specify materials compliant with EU Regulation 1935/2004 and Regulation 10/2011 for food contact plastics.
Ultralight options for delicate products
Standard curtain weight can topple lightweight cups, disturb product spacing, or hold up flexible pouches on conveyor belts. Our ultralight food curtains feature reduced thickness and a low-friction UHMW (ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene) coating that allows delicate products to pass through without disruption—critical for lines feeding checkweighers or automated rejection systems.
