Tungsten collimators

Nuclear Shields offers custom tungsten collimators manufactured according to customer drawings and specifications. Tungsten collimators are designed to reduce the amount of scatter to improve image sensitivity. They can be very compact because they are made from tungsten. Tungsten has a higher density than lead, which means that the amount of material needed to reach the same amount of scatter reduction is lower. However, tungsten is difficult to machine, making it more expensive than lead collimators.
