The Lead Shielded Compact Source Storage Safe – 10 mm Walls / 20 mm Door is designed for the secure storage of radioactive sources, radiopharmaceuticals, and calibration standards in nuclear medicine, isotope production, and research facilities.

With internal dimensions of 300 × 300 × 300 mm, it provides versatile storage capacity for lead pigs, source containers, or sealed isotopes. The safe features 10 mm thick lead shielding in all walls and base, combined with an extra-thick 20 mm lead front door for enhanced protection against gamma radiation from the most exposed direction.

A heavy-duty steel exterior ensures structural strength and longevity, while the lead-shielded door eliminates weak points in the shielding envelope. The secure locking system restricts access to authorised personnel only, supporting strict radiation safety compliance.

Both the interior and exterior are finished with a durable epoxy paint, offering a smooth, easy-to-clean surface that resists scratches, wear, and chemical cleaning agents. Multiple colour options are available to suit facility branding or workflow colour coding.

In addition to its standalone use, the SC1510 can also be integrated into a custom source storage setup, consisting of multiple units placed side-by-side and/or stacked — for example, in 4×4 or 1×3 arrangements. All multi-unit setups are custom-built on request to meet facility-specific spatial, workflow, and safety requirements.

With a total weight of 140 kg, the SC1510 delivers a balance of compact design, flexible storage, and effective shielding.
