The Lead Brick Base Start initiates the foundation course where shielding walls begin. This specialized brick creates the starting point for interlocking wall runs, establishing the pattern that continues through the full wall height with Middle Start and Top Start bricks above.
Foundation for wall beginnings
Position the Base Start at any point where a new wall section begins–room corners, doorway edges, or freestanding barrier ends. The angled chevron profile keys into adjacent Base Standard bricks, creating the offset pattern that prevents radiation streaming through joints.
The base course carries the full weight of upper brick layers while distributing load across the floor surface.
