The Lead Brick Base Corner creates the foundation at 90° wall intersections. This specialized geometry enables perpendicular wall runs while maintaining radiation-tight construction throughout the corner junction.
Solid corners, complete radiation protection
Corners are critical points in any shielding enclosure—poorly designed corners create weak spots that compromise overall protection. The Base Corner brick solves this with engineered overlap geometry that maintains full shielding effectiveness where walls meet.
Position the Base Corner where two walls intersect at right angles. The brick accepts Base Standard courses from both perpendicular directions, establishing the corner geometry that continues upward through Middle Corner and Top Corner courses.
Foundation for corner stacks
the Base Corner matches Base Standard weight while accommodating the direction change. It carries the full weight of corner sections above while distributing load to the floor. Middle Corner and Top Corner bricks stack directly above to complete the vertical corner column.
