Lead rings for dose calibrators
Interlocking lead rings can be produced in order to rule out or reduce any influence of radiation from the working area of the hot laboratory. It is important to shield the measuring chamber of the dose calibrator with lead rings, especially when working with PET nuclides. We can manufacture lead rings in any lead thickness required. It is also possible to produce the lead rings with low background or ultra-low background lead to minimize background radiation.
The additional lead shielding rings for the dose calibrator can be built into the lead-lined cabinet if an integrated dose calibrator is needed inside a lead-lined cabinet or shielded biological safety cabinet.

In order to rule out or reduce any influence of radiation from the working area of the hot laboratory, is it important to shield the measuring chamber of the dose calibrator with lead rings, especially when working with PET nuclides. The additional shielding is available in 20 mm and 50 mm. At the same time, the shielding serves as radiation protection for the laboratory staff.
In case of integrating the measuring chamber in a lead lined cabinet or shielded biosafety cabinet, the additional shielding for the dose calibrator chamber is usually already integrated in the shielded cabinet or shielded biosafety cabinet.
